ISA-Child abuse vetting scheme cancelled as ‘draconian’

The original vetting plans covered one in four of the adult population The vetting scheme for nine million people working with children and vulnerable adults in England, Wales and Northern Ireland has been halted. Home Secretary Theresa May has announced that registration, due to begin next month, has been put on hold. There will be a review of the entire vetting and barring scheme, with a scaling back to "common-sense levels".

From ethics to good management, a companys reputation is vital if it is to attract quality staff, according to a new survey. A companys reputation is crucial in attracting candidates - recruitment professionals have to align the relevant aspects of an employers brand to the candidates. Research by multi-sector recruiter Kelly Services found 37% of jobseekers rate an organisations reputation as a very important factor when thinking about joining them and 46% somewhat important.

The UK Border Agency has explained how you can extend your stay in the UK as an overseas qualified nurse or midwife to undertake a supervised practice placement or midwifery adaptation programme. The arrangements for overseas qualified nurses and midwives ended on 27 November 2008 - you can no longer apply to come to the UK or to switch into this category. If you have a job offer from a UK employer, you may be able to apply for permission to work here as a sponsored skilled worker.

Match Options Adopts Burnham Junior Football Club

Cap Training , the training arm of Match Options is also much involved in sponsoring the Junior Football club. Over the weekend of the 5th & 6th September Burnham Junior Football Club successfully hosted it's 16th Annual PreSeason Football Tournament. 90 teams from 30 different clubs across the region took part in the tournament covering all age groups from under 7 through to under 15. Nearly 4000 players and spectators attended the tournament and enjoyed perfect weather conditions and some great football.
