Match Options is committed to protecting customers’ (candidates and employers) right to privacy as a user of our online services. It is our policy to respect the privacy of private communication. The information you provide to us will be held on Match Options computers that are based in the UK. We collect information (including references and where relevant, credit reference agencies, Criminal Records Bureau etc.)  about our users in order to help us continually improve the services we offer. Match Options will always adhere to the UK Data Protection Legislation, under which we are registered. This Privacy Policy only relates to the Match Options service and does not extend to use of the Internet outside of the Match Options.  

For employers seeking suitable candidates for vacancies within their organisation, we may contact them with details of candidates that we think may be of interest to them.  

For candidates, the personal information may include that relating to assessing their suitability for relevant vacancies, checking details of qualifications, eligibility to work, identification, training, work experience, obtaining references from named referees, undertaking temporary service appraisals. As a result, we may contact the candidate in connection with possible vacancies and for other related purposes.  

We may also retain Personal Information for the purpose of matching employers and candidates in the future. All Personal Information is retained for a period of at least one year from the date on which we cease to seek work opportunities on your behalf of candidates. 

It is the duty of the customers to keep us informed of necessary updates to the personal information we retain like change of address, telephone, faxes etc  

What data do we collect?  

We will collect personal data as provided to us during the registration or when customers transact with us for the first time and for which they agree to supply us as accurate. We do not monitor your use of the Internet but we do use cookie technology to monitor your use of the Match Options services. A Cookie is a piece of text that attaches to your hard drive and from which it can store and sometimes track information on how you make use of a web site. Please note that the web sites to which this site may be linked may make use of their own Cookies to collect information from you. Cookies store and recall data that you have previously provided on our site and will save you from retyping same data every time you revisit the site.  

We might use Cookie data also to help us to know the number of visits and patterns to the site. This information is not stored alongside personal data and will only be used on an anonymous, aggregated basis. We may hold personal data relating to the documents and forms downloaded in order to maintain and improve the service we offer.

 What do we do with the data? 

We may use personal information about candidates to build up a profile restricted to our compliance with necessary Regulations in UK and also to third parties when trying to secure work opportunities on their behalf.  Some of these include: businesses who are part of the Match Options companies, to potential employers and vice versa, To other recruitment companies, When you have either agreed to it or have asked us to or it is in connection with a contract which we have entered into or will enter into with you, when we are required to do so by the Courts or to comply with other legal, statutory and/or regulatory obligations including accounting and taxation requirements, To prevent and/or detect crime, where it is in connection with a transfer of all or substantially all of Match Options assets or stock by way of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or otherwise, and for credit reference purposes. 

On occasion we may use and disclose data on an anonymous, aggregated basis for marketing and research cases but will not in such cases provide individual customer data. If you do not wish to receive promotional mailings, simply inform us by writing through our contact us details provided on this website.
